Ciao, sono Carina
destination wedding celebrant and founder of TWO
Throughout your experience with TWO I will be your lead celebrant and primary point of contact, helping to draw out your vision with expert advice and creative ideas, to ensure you receive the best service.
But, as much as I would like to, I can’t be in two places at the same time. So I work with a wonderful associate celebrant, trained and continuously mentored by me, who is passionate, empathetic and just as dedicated to helping you achieve your dream ceremony.
I am pretty good at doing my job, but I can honestly say I couldn’t do it without the great partnership and support of Cristina.
Loving what I do, is what keeps my enthusiasm going. I am a hopeless romantic and active daydreamer, passionate about stories with a happy ending. Feeling blessed for being able to meet people from all corners of the globe, who entrust me with the most important moments in their lives.
I consider myself highly open minded and a very good listener, and I love soaking in other people’s stories, learning about their cultural background and personal experiences, to understand and bring out a deeper meaning of their life journey.
The truth is… I have never dreamed of being a Celebrant!
In my 20s, my only certainty in life was that I would never get married. No doubt about it!
I used to think “why do I need a piece of paper telling me that I have to stick together through life with the person I love?” At that time, in my perspective, marriage was just that. And it didn’t make sense, because I strongly believed that the decision of being fully committed to someone, was mine only.
Everything changed the moment I met that person, the one who would later become my husband. I genuinely felt that getting married was the right thing to do: something that we both wanted to do. Because with the right person… you just know!
We had chosen one another, deep within our hearts, and it just felt right. Getting married was not about the piece of paper, but the natural urge to express our excitement, letting the whole world know about the amazing gift that we had found within each other. Celebrating our love story and marking our choice in a meaningful way, by bringing our loved ones together and sharing the joy of having found one another in this life.
Becoming a Celebrant came naturally.
I knew there were other couples out there who would see things the same way as I did. And it just felt right to get the word out and let them know that there’s so much more to celebrating love than a cold, boring and impersonal service; with so many significant and creative ways to add in that personal touch, for a warm, welcoming, emotional and truly significant celebration of marriage.
And I’ve made it my mission to celebrate the love of two people in the ways that feel most personal to them, in line with their core values and in full respect of all cultures and beliefs.
This is TWO!
A journey started by chance, turned into a professional full-time job by choice, where my primary care is for your celebration to be absolutely everything you could possibly imagine.
I’ve been a celebrant since 2015, creating and leading more than 200 ceremonies so far, while continuously investing in my professional training and personal development, to keep up to date and elevate the quality of my services.
Now, I would love to hear YOUR story.
Ciao, sono Cristina
an enthusiastic bilingual celebrant with a passion for love stories and happy endings.
Always calm and confident, with a soothing voice and warm attitude, I will give voice to your emotions and celebrate your story in a meaningful way, to render that moment unique and unforgettable.
My parents, Italian dad and New Zealander/ Kiwi mum met by chance, at a party to which neither of them wanted to go. Which just goes to say that I definitely believe in love and can’t help being a hopeless romantic.
By the way, it also means that I’m fully bilingual and perfectly at ease with both languages and different cultures.
So I guess, I was just born under a lucky star!
I have always loved weddings, so when I met Carina and was introduced to this wonderful world, I immediately knew it was what I truly wanted to do in life. I’ve completed my training with her and, after two years into celebrancy, without the slightest doubt, I left my career as a lawyer to fully embrace what I think is the best job in the world!
There’s just something magical about celebrating one of the most important moments in your life. Being there for you, retracing your story, sharing the joy and seeing that special light shining in your eyes as you say “I do”: a privilege and an honour that I take very seriously. It fills me with joy and I am happy to embrace your emotions, lending my voice and expertise to help you live your perfect moment and see your dream come true.
One of the moments I treasure most is being at the focus, just before the beginning of the ceremony. That intense moment of joy and anticipation, a calming word or a smile for the one standing next to me, waiting for their beloved; seeing their eyes shine as their loved one walks down the aisle, and witnessing their knowing smiles as their hands finally meet.
In my free time I love travelling – to fill my heart with wonder, acting – to see the world through different eyes, and enjoying long walks in the forest – to recharge my soul. By now, my loved ones have got used to see me hugging trees or loosing myself in the beauty of a sunset.
